Job Summary

As Creative Director for Learning Solutions, you’ll serve as both a visionary leader and hands-on creative partner—guiding our agency’s creative team while actively shaping the work yourself. Whether storyboarding an e-learning module on a client call, crafting a mood board for an interactive game, or quickly mocking up a mobile micro-module, you bring ideas to life in real time and inspire others to do the same.

With deep experience designing learning experiences across industries, you’ll guide graphic designers, multimedia artists, and illustrators toward breakthrough work that balances instructional rigor with eye-popping creativity. Equal parts mentor, maker, and strategic thinker, you’ll shape our brand’s visual voice, elevate learner engagement, and empower your team to deliver innovative training solutions that truly stick.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

Creative Leadership & Brand Vision

  • Define and articulate a bold, creative vision that aligns with our organizational goals and elevates our learning brand.

  • Oversee concept development and execution for learning experiences and training campaigns, digital content, branding initiatives, and eLearning assets.

  • Approve all creative deliverables, ensuring consistency, innovation, and exceptional quality.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, then integrate the best ideas back into our work.

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Mentor, inspire, and grow a high-performing team of designers, multimedia artists, and visual artists.

  • Foster a culture of open communication, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with Learning Design & Strategy, Marketing, Product, and Executive teams across Woven to ensure creative efforts drive business outcomes.

  • Manage multiple projects while balancing priorities, resources, and deadlines, maintaining team morale and creative momentum.

  • Collaborate with the broader creative team across the organization to elevate the work, proactively identify opportunities to bring in additional support when resources are limited, and advocate for broader visibility and engagement opportunities for the team across departments.

Creative Asset Strategy & Client Pitches

  • Oversee the creative direction and design quality of all learning assets such as eLearning modules, interactive games, infographics, videos, and mood boards, ensuring each is unique, compelling, and on brand.

  • Guide your team in developing rapid prototypes and style explorations, then review, refine, and approve final art and multimedia deliverables.

  • Lead pitch sessions and client workshops, presenting bold creative concepts, storyboards, and mockups that bring learning experiences to life and win buyin.

  • Establish and enforce design standards and style guides, ensuring consistency across channels while pushing creative boundaries.

  • Provide hands-on feedback and coaching to graphic designers, multimedia artists, and illustrators, helping them elevate their craft and innovate with confidence.

  • Stay attuned to emerging design trends, tools, and technologies; translate those insights into fresh creative solutions that advance our learning products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 7+ years leading creative teams, with a strong portfolio across marketing, digital, and learningfocused projects.

  • Proven experience in instructional design or talent development within a creative environment.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge teams.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Learning Management Systems a plus.

  • Hands-on experience integrating generative AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, DALL·E) to accelerate concept exploration and prototype iterations

  • Proven track record of using AI-powered design assistants for rapid mood board creation, style transfers, and asset variation

  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach creative teams on AI best practices, ensuring ethical use and maintaining high design standards

  • Strong project management abilities and a knack for juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
