The Woven Strategy team helps companies across the healthcare industry, particularly life sciences, structure the unstructured nature of strategy and increase the level of collaboration and partnership across the healthcare industry through its Innovation Ecosystem. Woven Strategy often helps support companies with projects that span: brand and product launch strategy, discovery and market research, voice of customer, market scouting, partnership facilitation, digital experience, real world validation, go to market activation, and many others.

The Vice President, Strategy Consulting at Woven is a senior leader responsible for driving the growth, execution, and evolution of Woven’s Strategy Consulting capability. Reporting to the EVP, Strategy (Strategy Consulting Practice Lead) and working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, this role balances business development, client relationship leadership, project delivery oversight, and internal strategy execution. The VP will also play a vital role in scaling the firm’s capabilities and offerings, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and helping build a thriving team. The ideal candidate will be a healthcare and life science strategy execution ninja, but also enjoys relationship building, creative thinking, and rolling up their sleeves to turn complex challenges into wins.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

The Vice President of Strategy Consulting at Woven Health Collective is a senior leader responsible for driving business growth, deepening strategic client relationships, overseeing consulting delivery, and expanding the firm’s internal capabilities. This individual will play a key role in advancing Woven’s consulting, growth, and cross-company initiatives while mentoring senior talent and scaling the impact of Woven’s Strategy practice.

  • Strategy Consulting Practice Growth: Collaborate with senior Woven Strategy leadership and peers (VP, EVP) to chart a bold vision and deliver on quarterly and annual growth plans, elevating financial performance, operational excellence, and team culture within the Strategy Consulting practice
  • Business Development & Growth Leadership: Drive new Strategy Consulting revenue by leading business development efforts, securing new client logos, developing proposals and SOWs, and identifying and converting cross-functional opportunities across Woven. Lead external-facing growth initiatives including conference attendance, marketing efforts, development of thought leadership collateral, and the effective positioning of Woven’s capabilities and offerings in the marketplace.
  • Strategic Client Engagement & Account Expansion: Build and maintain strong executive relationships with new and existing clients. Proactively identify new budget-holder relationships, introduce strategic offerings, and lead account-level conversations to expand Woven’s impact across key accounts.
  • Project Oversight & Delivery Excellence: Provide executive oversight and strategic input on high-value client engagements to ensure quality, satisfaction, and long-term impact. Work closely with Senior Managers to standardize delivery processes, ensure financial performance, and uphold project excellence.
  • Internal Strategy & Capability Development: Support the Woven executive team in developing and launching strategic initiatives, including new service offerings and long-term internal priorities. Partner across Woven’s business units to co-create and take new capabilities to market, drive integrated growth strategies, and maintain toolkits, best practices, and internal frameworks that enable scale and differentiation.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Mentor and support the growth of Senior Managers and future leaders across the strategy team. Conduct performance evaluations, coach team members, and foster a high-performing, collaborative, and mission-driven team culture.

Minimum Qualifications

We’re seeking a seasoned, strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of healthcare innovation, business growth, and team development. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree focused on healthcare, business, engineering, technology strongly preferred.
  • 14+ years of healthcare, life sciences, and/or strategy consulting experience, with demonstrated success in client engagement, business development, and strategic leadership.
  • Previous experience at a Big 4 / Big 3 or equivalent consulting firm preferred
  • Deep domain expertise across the end-to-end pharma and life sciences value chain, including R&D, medical affairs, market access, and commercial/brand operations.
  • Dynamic business development and account growth experience, with a proven track record of structuring and selling professional services to senior life sciences and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates comfort facilitating various client meetings and relationship types
  • Comfort leading cross-functional teams and internal initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across a matrixed organization.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare innovation, digital health, and ecosystem-driven strategy—and the ability to connect big-picture thinking with detailed execution.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into strategic narratives that influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building new capabilities and mentoring talent.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business and client demands (10-30% expected)
