Job Summary

The Account Director manages assigned clients and projects, directs the Woven Health Collective cross-functional team, and serves as the client lead, with oversight from the Supervisor, Group Accounts or Senior Account Director. The role needs to build strong client relationships, listen for new business/growth opportunities, and foster organic growth through excellent client service and project execution.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

  • Manages assigned clients/projects, direct Woven cross-functional team, and serves as the client lead, with oversight from the Group Account Supervisor or Sr. Account Director
  • Serves as main point of contact for client; manage day-to-day client requests; responds to all client inquiries within 24 hours
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, and key opinion leaders in the therapeutic area
  • Builds strong client relationships, listens for new business/growth opportunities, and fosters organic growth through excellent client service and project execution
  • Drafts proposals/budgets and manages budgets/project scope through the life of the project
  • Develops and manages timelines with Project Manager. Understands the interdependency of project components; proactively identify potential impact to timelines and workflow; develops solutions; and guides team and client through appropriate adjustments
  • Learns about clients' therapeutic areas, business, and strategic imperatives
  • Understands client preferences, SOPs, business conduct guidance, and PRC requirements, and ensures Woven follows them
  • Oversees the financial management of projects (internal/client) in conjunction with manager
  • Prepares for, participates in, and leads internal/client meetings.
  • Responsible for pre-meeting preparation with Woven cross-functional team and development of agendas/recaps
  • Partners with other departments (editorial, scientific services, finance, meeting logistics, technology) to ensure that clients’ business needs are being met and projects are executed with excellence
  • Travels to client meetings and programs to oversee execution
  • Supports ad hoc Woven and client projects as they arise
  • Performs these and other duties as assigned in adherence with the standards and expectations of the company

Minimum Qualifications

  • Desired Experience: 3+ years of medical communications account management experience with at least 2 years experience as the primary day to day client contact
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, quick, forward-looking, and strategic thinker who is team-oriented, collegial, proactive, and predisposed to act as a trusted and confidential partner to clients and the internal team
  • Ability to multi-task, be solution-oriented, and be highly organized is essential
  • A sense of humor is considered an important quality as is a natural, optimistic attitude
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, as well as strong oral and written communication abilities. This person will be an exceptional listener who has the ability to relate to a wide variety of clients and adapt to their program needs
  • Ability to travel 20-25%
  • Must have launch experience
