Job Summary
The Speaker Bureau Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring for speaker bureau / speaker program compliance across multiple clients, providing compliance guidance to internal and client contacts, assisting with post-program reconciliation, and supporting the Speaker Bureau Compliance Director with special projects, staff training, and new client onboarding. With the support of Speaker Bureau management team, this individual will also be provided opportunities to:
Partner with other key functional areas as needed, including Technology, Accounts & Meetings Teams, Finance, and members of senior management.
Assist with the implementation and enhancement of compliance-focused processes.
Support the growth and success of the overall Woven team.
Job Responsibilities and Skills
Review post-program attendee data and documentation and provide directions to client contacts.
Review and oversee venue expenses and documentation.
Verify accuracy of speaker payments and facilitate review and approval
Oversee speaker reimbursement review and approval process.
Support program reconciliation, review, and transparency reporting
Serve as trusted compliance advisor for internal staff and client field contacts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of relevant experience or 5+ years of relevant experience
2+ years of compliance experience
Experience with speaker bureau / speaker programs
Ability to work on multiple priorities concurrently to meet deadlines.
Organized, exceptional attention to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interact with various levels of management, staff, and clients internally and externally with an emphasis on stellar client service.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
Skilled at critical-thinking and problem-solving
Strong mathematical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
Knowledge of Speaker Program rules and regulations of the OIG, DOJ, PhRMA Code
Travel: Minimal travel will be required to: a) clients for customer support/maintenance, b) speaker programs both in the US and internationally as identified as important by clients, c) to other locales for training or other corporate meetings.
