Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager oversees complex, multi-channel projects and programs, ensuring delivery aligns strategically with client objectives and organizational priorities. This role takes ownership of project-level budgets, risk management, and cross-brand delivery consistency. The Senior Project Manager serves as a key collaborator with Account, Strategy, Creative and Finance partners, fostering strong client partnerships while mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, including multi-channel digital initiatives (websites, banner ads, social, CRM/email campaigns, iVAs, video, podcast, and omnichannel pull-through), ensuring alignment with client and agency goals.
  • Manage program-level budgets, including burn tracking, reconciliation, scope vs. actuals, and job-level budget approvals.
  • Partner with Account leads to plan, scope, and manage client programs, ensuring timelines and deliverables meet expectations.
  • Serve as a key collaborator for client-facing needs (timing, deliverables, escalations), building trust and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and escalate financial and project risks while providing data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Champion process optimization and compliance improvements, identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Ensure consistent delivery across multiple projects/brands, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Manage, train, and mentor Project Coordinators and Project Managers, fostering growth and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with Account, Creative, Editorial, and Digital partners on scope tracking, compliance requirements, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure digital best practices are applied across all tactics, including responsive design standards, QA/UAT cycles, and adherence to accessibility and pharma/regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage PM tools (Workfront, Jira, Veeva, ProofHQ, etc.) to manage complex workflows, particularly for digital deliverables requiring multiple stakeholders and compliance checkpoints.
  • Stay current on evolving digital platforms, martech/AI tools, and emerging channel opportunities to guide clients and internal teams with forward-looking recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of project management experience, preferably within an agency, marketing, or healthcare/pharma environment.
  • Strong financial management skills, including project-level budgeting, reconciliation, and risk escalation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-channel deliverables across multiple brands or clients.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with experience in expectation management and relationship building.
  • Expertise in project management tools such as Workfront, Jira, Veeva, ProofHQ, Egnyte, Gantt charts, and trackers.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring and managing junior project management staff.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Proven success managing digital projects (web, mobile, CRM, social, video, and multi-channel campaigns).
  • Understanding of digital production processes including UX/design, development cycles, QA, and Med/Legal review workflows.
