Job Summary

The Creative Operations Manager ensures the smooth, efficient, and strategic execution of creative projects from conception through delivery. This role optimizes workflows, resource allocation, and production timelines within the creative team, supporting the organization’s marketing and brand objectives. Working closely with cross-functional leaders, the manager drives operational excellence, process improvement, and team collaboration.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

  • Manage daily operations of the creative team, including timeline development, project prioritization, and resource planning.
  • Partner with the Director of Creative Operations to implement scalable production workflows, tools, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between creative, marketing, and other departments to align on project goals, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Oversee intake, briefing, and trafficking of creative requests to ensure clarity, accuracy, and feasibility.
  • Maintain an organized project management system for tracking progress, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Lead post-project evaluations to refine processes and measure creative performance against KPIs.
  • Support team capacity planning and freelance/vendor management.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across creative producers, designers, writers, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Partner with finance and procurement to manage budgets, estimates, and vendor contracts for creative production.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or agency production.
  • Proven success managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Workfront, Monday.com, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of creative processes across design, video, and digital channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and navigate cross-functional relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for creative excellence.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.
