Job Summary

The Director, Brand Strategy leads major brand strategic initiatives for Woven’s pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The role crafts compelling positioning, messaging, and omnichannel plans, transforming market and clinical insights into effective strategies for designated client(s) and internal creative teams. This individual balances hands-on strategic work with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities and Skills

  • Strategic Development
    • Lead brand strategy for major account(s), developing positioning, architecture, and customer journeys across significant and/or multiple indications.
    • Translate clinical, behavioral, and market data into brand and campaign strategy that meets client business objectives.
    • Drive launch planning, differentiation strategies, and competitive landscape analyses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with account, creative, medical, and digital teams to bring strategies to life.
    • Guide messaging hierarchy, voice, and omnichannel execution.
  • Team Leadership
    • Mentor junior strategists and model strong strategic thinking.
    • Lead internal meetings and pre-client reviews; ensure strategic clarity in deliverables.
  • Client Engagement
    • Serve as a senior partner to client leadership, presenting brand strategies and offering insight on brand growth and campaign direction.
    • Shape and co-lead strategic workshops, planning sessions, and advisory forums.
  • Business Support
    • Assist in new business efforts and take part in strategic pitches as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7–10 years in brand strategy at a healthcare/pharma agency, with experience leading strategic accounts and teams.
  • Expertise in positioning, launch strategy, customer journeys, and omnichannel execution.
  • Strong presence in workshops, meetings, and team leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred.
  • Deep understanding of HCP/patient engagement and the healthcare marketing landscape.
  • Recognition as a trusted strategic lead by clients and teams.
  • Clarity, quality, and impact of brand strategies and deliverables.
  • Effective team development and mentorship.
  • Delivering strategic value in client meetings, workshops, and launches.
