Job Summary

As a Medical Strategist, you will sit at the intersection of client vision, brand storytelling, and instructional design. From day one, you will join discovery calls to decode business challenges, map audience pain points, and translate insights into actionable roadmaps for training programs that captivate field teams and others alike.
You will partner with writers, designers, and project managers to shape data-driven content outlines, wireframe interactive modules, and recommend engagement tactics that directly track client KPIs. Along the way, you will track marketplace shifts, mine competitive intelligence, and bring forward fresh ideas that keep our solutions bold and future-proof.
This role serves as your launchpad to senior strategic leadership, providing you with end-to-end visibility into how innovative training assets drive results for life science brands.
Job Responsibilities and Skills
Client Leadership and Project Ownership
- Lead end-to-end client initiatives, from kick-off through final delivery
- Co-create project proposals, project scopes, and timelines
- Facilitate discovery workshops to surface learner gaps, success metrics, and competitive threats
- Strategically lead project design and execution, ensuring deliverables exceed client expectations
Training Strategy and Solution Design
- Translate business objectives into multi-modal training blueprints (eLearning, live workshops, microlearning, video, etc.)
- Develop high-level content architectures that align brand narrative with adult learning principles
- Recommend engagement tactics to enhance the learning experience and meet the audience's needs
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Coordinate writers, designers, developers, and vendors, ensuring the learning experience and tasks, timelines, and budgets stay on track
- Drive continual process improvement and customize projects to align with deliverables and resolve issues easily
- Conduct interim reviews to confirm scientific accuracy, compliance, and instructional soundness
Data, Analytics, and ROI
- Define learning KPIs in partnership with clients and internal analytics teams
- Monitor metrics and feedback to recommend course corrections and optimize learner engagement and business impact
Therapeutic Area and Market Intelligence
- Serve as subject matter experts on therapeutic areas and treatment landscape, providing quality client consultation in training needs discussions
- Maintain working knowledge of the competitive landscape and summarize quarterly insights for account teams
- Translate new clinical data or guideline updates into strategic recommendations for content refreshes
Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Document lessons learned and create and champion best practices in project processes, collaboration platforms, and version control
- Pilot at least one new tool or methodology per quarter, sharing results with the strategists’ community
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree or higher in a medical or life-science field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ years in medical communications, healthcare marketing, or life sciences training development with some client interaction.
- Therapeutic Knowledge: Working familiarity with at least one therapeutic area and ability to research new topics quickly.
- Instructional Design Awareness: Basic understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting research and project updates to clients.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and accept constructive feedback.
- Tech Proficiency: Solid Microsoft Office skills; willingness to learn project management or eLearning tools.
- Travel: Occasional travel up to 5% for client meetings or events.
